We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Manager to join our team. The Materials Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end materials management process, from receiving tologistics and distribution. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing our materials management, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production andcustomer demand.
Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
• Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing carrying costs.
• Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve accuracy.
2. Logistics and Distribution:
• Coordinate the movement of materials from suppliers to manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
3. Quality Control:
• Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet specified quality standards
• Implement measures to address and prevent materials-related quality issues.
4. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
• Conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Collaborate with finance teams to establish and manage materials management budgets.
5. Risk Management:
• Identify and assess potential risks in the materials in our ownership.
6. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of materials professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance on complex materials management issues.
Requirements:
1. Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Provenexperience as a Materials Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Proficiency in using materials management software and tools.
3. Communication:
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to convey complex materials-related information to diverse audiences.
4. Leadership:
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Provenexperience in strategic planning and execution.
